JJ Airsoft XPS 3-2 & XPS 2-Z Red Dot Sights Review

jjairsoft_eotech_xps_review_02

Recently I received the JJ Airsoft XPS Red dot sight in two very similar versions, but with very distinctive features: the XPS 3-2 and the XPS 2-Z. I had reviewed EOTech style sights in the past from different brands and even JJ Airsoft, and most were quite a mix where usually the lenses were so tinted you couldn’t see much when indoors, or you would get to much reflection.

Also, the construction quality is a also a known issue with many clones, which flood the market giving a bad reputation even for the best EOTech replicas.

With so many EOTech clones choice in market right, how will a manufacturer make a difference? Well, the answer is in the quality of build and materials and also in widening the number of offerings.

JJ Airsoft is trying to do just that, but exactly how does that make it stand out from the crowd and benefit us? And just how good are these XPS holosights?

To find out more, just keep on reading.

MadBull Airsoft Gen2 Gemtech G5 Tracer Unit Review

design

A good suppressor doesn’t need to be just an aesthetic improvement to your AEG. Thanks to MadBull Airsoft and the Gemtech G5, which is a replica of the actual G5 from Gemtech, it is just that kind of replica suppressor that actually does more than just make you gun look nice and tactical.

This mock suppressor also has a tracer ability which is one of most fun things to do with an Airsoft gun!

When you add the tracer ability to a suppressor It can be very useful to run on night games since you actually see where you’re shooting, and tis also applies to indoor CQB games.

So let’s see how easy it is to use and run on a standard M4 AEG, and also how well built it is.

BOLT M16A4 BRSS Heavy Recoil AEG Review

bolt_m16a4_brss_heavy_review

I recently had the opportunity to review the new Bolt BRSS Heavy recoil and I can tell you it was even better than my expectations in terms of recoil:

Technology keeps on improving and Airsoft also keeps on moving forward thanks to innovative and bold manufacturers such as Bolt Airsoft. Of course that Bolt is not the only brand in the market when it comes to electric recoil. And I’ve heard many say that the likes of Magpul and Tokyo Marui have a slightly better recoil experience.

However, having tried myself the latter I was sure that wasn’t the case, and now with the new BRSS it would be interesting to see if Bolt Airsoft were actually able to improve on what was already quite good, and make it the uncontested market leader in this segment.

So without further ado let’s start going through the new Bolt BRSS Heavy Recoil.

Review: ForceCore Armament FC-109 M4 AEG

fc109_review

ForceCore is, to me and many Airsofters out there, a new name and a new player in the market. One of my latest reviews was a first for me, not just in terms of the brand itself but also in terms of an AEG which I had never seen or used before: the Spectre SMG.

So it was not so easy to gauge the actual quality of this brand (although the quality of the Spectre is seemingly good) since I had no other references.

Now with the AR15/M4 platform, things are a bit different since I consider myself not an expert, but someone who has owned enough M4s for long enough to be able to form an opinion on the subject!

So things are a bit clearer when looking at the FC-109 M4 AEG from Gunfire and it’s really interesting to find out how ForceCore is becoming more and more a brand to keep an eye on!

ForceCore Industries Spectre SMG AEG

fc_spectre_smg_review

Looking for something completely different? The Spectre M4, although bearing the “M4” in its designation has nothing to do with the M4 platform. In fact it couldn’t be further from the latter. This Italian made sub machine gun has a very unique look to it thanks to its compactness and pistol like design.

The real steel version or should I say versions, since there are several, has a polymer body and stamped steel receiver, and in some cases a folding stock or a suppressor.

The Spectre was of course design specifically for CQB engagements and the Airsoft version is of course, no different since due to its technical characteristics is really not advisable to use it anywhere else rather than in a close quarter scenarios and so you can have some real fun with it!

ARES M110 SASS DMR Review

ares_m110_sass_review

The time has come for me to try out the DMR, or the designated marksman rifle role. And just why did I choose this role over perhaps the sniper role? Basically because the DMR role sits somewhere between having an assault rifle and having a sniper rifle, only with a few very nice perks!

Published on May 7, 2015 by in News, Partners, Products

sa-vz-58

Here’s great news from Gunfire, not only are the vz.58 very unique and cool guns as they have also made several appearances on one of my favorite TV Series: Strike Back!

Something for fans of the “Strike Back” TV series – replica of Czech carbine SA vz. 58 by ARES, licensed by real firearm manufacturer.

Featured by ECFS gearbox with quick spring exchange system. Available also in subcarbine version – vz. 58 Compact.

Both replicas can be found here: http://bit.ly/1EghyIW

They have a long version and a CQB version, both featuring the programmable EFCS gearbox from ARES.

BOLT Airsoft BR-47 KeyMod BRSS Review

B21

I was able to review one of the best, if not the best EBB in the market:

This is my first Bolt Airsoft AEG so I was going pretty much into uncharted territory as I never owned one of these. However, this is my second EBB (Electric Blow Back) and I’ve had the opportunity to try, during skirmishes the notorious Tokyo Marui Recoils. Also, this gun features a unique design that is not very common, since it brings together two worlds that are often apart: the AK47 and AR-15 platforms. In fact, the BR-47 is based on one of the world’s rarest fire-arms: the KAC SR-47.

This AEG, oops! EBB, is already quite unique in its design and history, so I guess the question that is in all airsofters’ minds must be answered: exactly how does the Bolt BR-47 stack up against the new breed of EBBs and how good is it?

So I was very curious about this gun, as I’m sure you are too, so, if you want to find out all about it just keep reading here.

MadBull PWS 15-Inch KeyMod Handguard Review

Published on April 22, 2015 by in News

pws2

Most weapons and weapon accessories manufacturers are joining the KeyMod bandwagon and rightfully so as this is probably one of the biggest modern innovations when it comes to rail systems. By having a KeyMod handguard, manufacturers are able to keep the weight down and make a more ergonomic and easy to grip handguard.

PWS, or Primary Weapon Systems is the real steel maker that licensed this handguard to MadBull Airsoft and the airsoft version is pretty much bang on!
